Version 4.2.1 - Release Notes

This is a stabilisation release for 4.2.1 with an extra focus on Firewall capabilities.
An extra security rule was added for bandwidth throttling, and DDOS request caps were hardened, CDN and other filtering rules optimized.

An important new component was added in the form of a streaming proxy to be registered as an Http Handler. The proxy serves external resources to bypass same-origin policy issues, when no Cross-origin resource sharing signaling is provided.

Associated to the proxy is a dedicated filtering Firewall rule, that processes Html, css, js, Kml and Kmz files to proxify internal links.

  • Improved: CDN Rule XPath expression easily editable in CDN Strategy
  • Fixed: CDN Rule default XPath expression uses local-name() instead of name()
  • Fixed: Use of "~" to define relative urls
  • Fixed: Requestcaps used in firewall DDOS rule and Bandwidth protection rule to a more conservative computation
